The most crowded AI niche pays the least per company
Photo to image has 190 live companies on this market and a mean of 14,387 USD a year. SEO and growth has 38 and a mean of 130,598. But the SEO median is 1,010, because one company carries that mean alone. This file gives you every family with its count, its median, its failure share and its concentration.

The two columns that matter
Company count tells you nothing on its own. A crowded family can still pay and an empty one can be empty for a reason.
What tells you something is the share of companies clearing 12,000 USD a year, which is how often the family pays at all, next to the share of revenue held by its top tenth, which is how concentrated that paying is. A family where few clear 12,000 and the top tenth holds most of the money is a lottery. One where more clear it and the top tenth holds less is a trade.
Picking a niche from a winners list
Everybody picks their next idea by looking at what is visibly working. That is how 190 companies ended up in photo to image, and how the mean in that family came out at 14,387 USD a year.
The information you actually need is the failure rate inside the family you are about to join, and that is the number nobody publishes.
What you get
- report.html, every keyword family with at least fifteen live companies, with count, median, share at zero, share above 12,000 and share held by the top tenth.
- data.csv, all 2,200 live connection companies in 20 columns with their family assigned, so you can regroup them your own way.
- README.txt, every column defined, the keyword patterns written out, and the limits.
A family here is a keyword, not a market
Families are keyword matches on the one line pitch each founder wrote. The first matching family wins, so a pitch mentioning both video and photo lands in whichever is tested first. The exact patterns are in the README so you can disagree with them.
A company whose pitch uses none of the keywords is marked unclassified rather than forced into a bucket.
